Yes, can edit .htaccess within JoomSEF.
Yes, all plugins/components are installed and enabled.
Have made a mod to hide the text, but prior to this it was not working anyway.

Any ideas why it's still showing the code?

Why would your text suddenly appear on the live site: "Joomla SEF URLs by Artio"
We have a testing site setup and the live site: www.redmap.com/ when we purchased the component.

Only happens when JoomSEF is enabled, works fine with just the Joomla SEF enabled or no SEF.
JoomSEF version: 4.2.8, Joomla: 2.5.6

And another issue - we have a random article being pulled in to the sidebar on each page:
www.demo.cmykreative.com/redmap/index.ph...id=30&Itemid=375
It's now showing the error:
Not Found - The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server
Again, been through every option I can find in configuration, turning everything on or off, can't get it to work at all.
Any ideas?

OK, not used this component for some time and I can't for the life of me figure out why it's constructing the url's it is currently.
I have an article called smartpayables.php, the category structure of that part of the site is:
- Home
- smartSolutions - top level category
---- smartPayables - 2nd level category + this is where the article sits
---- smartFiling
---- smartOutput
etc etc
The url structure I am getting when using all categories is:
domain.com/smartpayables/smartsolutions/smartpayables/smartpayables.php
The url structure I am getting when using only last category is:
domain.com/smartpayables/smartsolutions/smartpayables/smartpayables.php
The url structure I am getting when using no categories is:
domain.com/smartpayables/smartpayables.php
In all instances, I am getting categories in the url that shouldn't be there and I can't figure out how to configure this.
How do I set it so that I end up with:
domain.com/smartsolutions/smartpayables.php
Any ideas?

I installed JoomSEF on the site www.scadbangkok.com some 4 days ago and all was fine. It installed correctly, was running fine and there were no problems. Now when I go to the front page nothing loads and try to log in to admin and I am getting . . .
Fatal error: Class 'SEFConfig' not found in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/plugins/system/joomsef.php on line 39
Looking around the forums you have said that this is caused because of a failed or incomplete installation (which doesn't really apply to this case as it DID install and work correctly initially), my question is now that I can't get into admin, how do I completely uninstall JoomSEF now so that I might login without problems and reinstall . . . ? What files do I need to remove to solve this . . . ?

Well, a misconfigured server would be the simple answer . . . except we run our own servers and the configuration of them hasn't changed since this was first installed so it's unlikely that something server-based would have caused it to suddenly start working correctly.

I don't know how the module itself functions, not do I know how it verifies or checks anything specifically as I am not party to their coding methods.
The module is here: www.automaticbacklinks.com/ - essentially it is a link exchange module. You add their module to your site and it shows 3 x links from other companies, your own site links are also then shown on other sites within the network and the system constantly monitors whether links are actually being displayed etc.
The problem I am having is that it doesn't seem to work very well with JoomSEF for some reason and the makers of this module said something about it not being able to read the SEF generated URL's. So basically, it does its checking, but says it can't find any links within the site.
Not sure if you've ever used this module before, but it seems to be becoming more popular within the Joomla community and if you are able to see how it functions and get it working correctly with JoomSEF it would be great.
