TOPIC: Adsmanager extension : Order No. 3372

Adsmanager extension : Order No. 3372 15 years, 11 months ago #5496

Hi,

I bought the adsmanagar extension : Order No. 3372.

My site has:
Jooma 1.0
JoomSEF 2.3

I installed the ext_joomsef_adsmanager.zip.

But the adsmanager category links are still not SEF.

(I emailed you the link to my site - I don't want it to appear in the public forum.)

Please tell how to correct this.

Thank you.

SITE NOT LOADING!

This is how I installed JoomSEF on my Joomla 1.0 (Apache server) website:

>downloaded the JoomSEF 2 (com_joomsef-2.3.0.zip)
>deleted my .htaccess file
>installed JoomSEF 2 (com_joomsef-2.3.0.zip)

>downloaded ext_joomsef_adsmanager.zip
>installed it through the 'install' of ArtioSEF UI

The website was then working fine.
Only the adsmanager category URLs were not searc-engine friendly - but everything else was perfect.

A few hours later, when I tried to access the site, I got a '404 error'!

I had made NO other changes to the site.

I uninstalled JoomSEF and the site was running again.

I repeated the entire process two more times - BUT THE SAME THING HAPPENED.
The site works fine for sometime, and after that (I did not make ANY changes), the 404 error occures, and I can't open my site.

PLEASE HELP ASAP.

Thank you!

Hello,

I assume you have purchased AdsManager JoomSEF Extenstion 1.1.1, is that right?
After you installed JoomSEF, were you other URLs search engine friendly? (for regular content?) Were they stored within JoomSEF?
If yes, Did you purge already existing JoomSEF URLs for AdsManager after you have installed the purchased extension. (if not, do so as the old, non SEF URLs may be stored in DB and you need to remove them manually or by purging existing URLs) Also remember to clear cache.
If yes, could you please state your AdsManager version?

Hello,

Thank you for replying.
I had not cleaned my cache.
It's working fine now.

Thanks again.

Hi,

An hour after running smoothly, the site no longer loads it gives the following error:

500 Server Error

The web server encountered an error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. If this error persists, please contact the webmaster, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

I did not make ANY changes.

On reading your FAQ and forum, I asked my web-host to check my .htaccess file, and find out what the problem is.

They said that the CPU was timing-out after 60s and that the component was slowing down the site, and that I should uninstall it.

When I uninstalled Artio SEf the site is back again.

Please help me out.
I want to use your component.

Thank you.

Hello,

if you have caching on, there should be no significant increase of load for your site. (but even with cache off, it should not really be such a problem...)
You may also try to adjust the JoomSEF cache size.

Anyway, CPU load does not cause 500 error, so I am not quite sure if your host provider was quite right abou the reasons.
