may be this can be solved when they find a solution for the "main-language" problem. but anyway, your index site of your website works also when you type www.mywebsite.nl the language prefix only appears after a next click.

You may also rename the site in Joomsef URL manager. then your index site will always appear without the language prefix.

I understand, but then the problem remains that this is not very SEO and also user friendly. If all urls are going to change from www.mywebsite.nl/nl/whatever to www.mywebsite.nl/whatever then a lot of people have wrong urls in their favorites and also google gets a lot of changes.

The whole purpose of the use of ARTIO for me is to have very consistent, clear and user friendly urls.

I really hope they find a solution soon...

I'm also very surprised that this reveals such a major bug. This meant that the Artio website simply didn't allow for any other language then English to go through the checkout process. The same applies to me now...

Hello,

This Main language problems should be fixed in next version.
As regards the VM checkout, because of the way VirtueMart redirects the URLs during checkout, the "Save language to cookie" option must be enabled in order to stay on the correct language.

Hello

I have checked now the differences between Joomsef version 3.7.0 and 3.7.1

When I replace the follwing code from the new version in joomsef.php:

if ((empty($code) || !JLanguage::exists($code))) {

(line 844)

with the code from the previous version:

if ($redir && (empty($code) || !JLanguage::exists($code))) {

(line 711)

the language will not be set to default when checking out, it remains in the selected language.

BTW: I don't agree with your comment:

// removed && $redir - it was not possible to switch language to main language
// on other page than homepage (let's see if it causes any other problem)


I never had problems in version 3.7.0

Hello,

Thank you for your report. There were problems when using components with their own routers, the main language could not be selected. We'll fix this in next version so it works for both the VM checkout and for components without JoomSEF extension installed.
