hi, with the joomshopping extension installed. when a client tries to submit a comment on a product, they end up on a 404 error page.

Please post the URL that's displayed in the browser's address bar when the 404 page is displayed. If it's a SEF URL, find it in JoomSEF's URLs Manager and post its Real non-SEF URL too. Thank you.

out of interest, while i was in the url manager, when i change the viewmode in the filter at the top to: Show 404 log, it takes me back to the Joomla main administrator control panel page.

The URL seems all right. Are there any duplicates stored for it?
I'll also test the comments on our test server and let you know.

Problem with redirection to main Joomla page can happen if you have many URLs displayed at once in the URLs Manager and your web server has a limit for number of variables being sent.

I've tested the comments and in my case the URL wasn't generated correctly at all, so I updated and released a new version of our JShopping extension. You may update it using JoomSEF's Manage Extensions page.
But in your case when you have the URL created correctly, it should be working. Maybe there's some problem with JoomShopping, as I tested it with the latest 3.12.1 version.
