i dont use Joomfish.

A few days ago i delete my global keywords and description and now one link in google shows now the correct description. But other pages are not correct like the page above.

At the moment i use

joomla 1.5.14
JoomSEF 3.3.4

i know it is not "up to date" but i at the moment i have no time to update the system. Is this really the problem with the META ?

the joomsef plugin was enabled and also the "overwrite" defalut meta.

I also puplishe the "standard" system - SEF plugin. is it nesseccary to disable this plugin?

i have one problem or better i have a question about the global META settings.

I have on my site for every url seperate META descriptions and keywords. I have also in the joomla settings in the global META description and global keywords entries.

My problem is now, if i search on google for my site for example "milow album sound-ecke" i get an result but i see as description the global META description and not the description i entered for the "milow" site.

So i think the global META description and keywords overwrite my URL meta description and keywords. Is this correct? If yes, i think i can delete the global description and keywords?

Please, can someone help me with this question.

i changed a menu item one month bevor. no i saw that there are a lot of SEF URLs that have the old menu item name in the URL. Is it possible to "rebuild" the SEF URLs without deleting all added Meta informations?

thanks for the info.

there is one question. i use one plugin for an componente and some of this urls i would like to delete.
so if i set this plugin for the component to "skip" there will no more new sef urls and all old sef urls are still active, right?
if i have one new url in the component and would like to add a sef url manually, this is still possible although the plugin is on "skip"?

i have some urls that should not be "translated" in SEF urls. So is it possible to say Joomsef that these urls should not be translated? If i delete the in the menu "view/edit urls" after a few minutes or hours the url is there, again.

i know there are some parameters like index, noindex, follow and so on. Can you give me a overview which parameters i can use for the Meta options?

yes the external link begins with index.php but if i change the external link in

test.sound-ecke.de/index.php?option=com_...e_id=3&Itemid=56

so the external link starts not with index.php the translation dont work, too.
I will ask the author of the extension.

yes - i cleaned the joomla cache and the template should be ok. My skills in this are not the best but it is a yootheme template and they do good work.

i can not use anything other then a external link, because the component (music collection) has no internal link for the feature i need.

i added the url in curstom redirects like this:
old url: index.php?option=com_muscol&view=search&search=albums&genre_id=2
sef url: sound-ecke/hiphop

but the original joomla url is always displayed :(

ok, so i deleted all urls, cleaned the cache und i'm waiting now.

But joomsef is not listing the hiphop link :/ the menuitem sound-ecke is listing and works but hiphop (it is a submenuitem) and 4 other links are not in the JoomSEF URL Manager

i think we are talking about different things :)

What i want is that joomsef is using for the SEF URL the title alias of every menu, article and so on and not the title that is shown on the frontend.
I thought the option "use titel alias?" in the joomsef config did this if i set it to "title alias"

But it is not a big problem.

The really big problem is point 3 in the first post.

i will try to explain it a little bit better.

i put an url (index.php?option=com_muscol&view=search&search=albums&genre_id=2) manually in joomsef.

old url: index.php?option=com_muscol&view=search&search=albums&genre_id=2
SEF url: sound-ecke/hiphop

nothing happens - the url is still the old url (after clean cache)
In the browser title there is SEARCH shown :/

hm..maybe i dont understand it correct, yes.

So i have a menuitem "sound-ecke" the alias of this menuitem is "genre". Now i would like to see in the url "genre" and not the title "sound-ecke"
so i changed the setting in joomsef in "use titel alias" and purge URLs (this means delete them, correct?) but in the url is always the "sound-ecke" instead of "genre"

another short question:
What is with the system -sef plugin (joomla plugin) can i disable this plugin?

1-2) i changed in the plugin these parameters:
Use sitename in page titles: NO
Sitename separator: |

nothing changed.

but the sitename is shown twice only on the start site. But the startsite has ne name "news" and not sound-ecke.
on all other pages first the sitename is shown and then the category name - thats ok.
EDIT: Ok problem solved :) i had to go to the News menuitem and changed the Systemparameters. There was a parameter for site title and this field was empty. i changed it to "news" and not it is shown correct.


3) yes i clean the cache. the setting for the com_muscol component ist on default.
i use the url that is shown in the browser, starting with index.php.

i used sh404sef bevor. is this maybe a problem? i uninstalled it and followed the tutorial which i found in this forum. the table redirection was deleted. But maybe there is another problem?
