TOPIC: Like 1.7.2! Possible small template bug? Borders

Like 1.7.2! Possible small template bug? Borders 13 years, 1 month ago #24951

Jan, you guys have done will with 1.7.2! It looks like most all of the features I was looking for have been incorporate and the invoice templating system is nice! I did find what may possibly be a small bug in the invoice template, though. Either that, or it is something in my own system.

To reproduce...

Go into the invoice template editing. Make any changes and save the changes. Go back into the invoice template and all of the table borders are shown instead of being invisible. I am running JCE as my editor and if I click the view/hide button to see the raw html code, it shows all the border definitions s as being set to 1. Now, if you go back and click on the restore default template and then view the raw html code, it shows borders as 0. Save the invoice without even making any changes and it will turn the border definitions back to 1 in the raw HTML.

The work around for now, is to just manually edit the html code in the editor box and change all the border definitions to 0 and it all works fine. It may be a JCE issue but I have not had this happen on any other tables in any other components with JCE so I am suspecting it is something in VM Invoice.

Great update otherwise!!

Hello,

the code that is stored is fully controlled by the WYSIWYG editor you are using. So it means JCE editor in your case.
So either you may be able to adjust this in the editor settings or maybe there is a bug in the version you are using.

I am using the latest one of 2.x series and it seems to work fine.
So either it is caused by your JCE version or some settings for table editing.

For sure, the HTML code stored is not modyfied in any way by VM Invoice when saved. So I think you need to look for the cause in the WYSIWYG editor.

Whenever i turn off tiny mce, and edit the code of the templates, the template is stored fine...
Tiny mce is very buggy...

If you want to edit the invoice and the emails, turn off tiny mce.
