when "address shown - both always" is selected actually only billing address is shown. Normally when this option is selected, both billing and shipping address should be displayed. Currently it only shows both addresses if they are different.

please can you advise how to fix this?

this depends whether the address is present in VirtueMart order data or not.

Please note this settings DOES NOT modify any data. It will show both the addresses only if both are present in VirtueMart order info table (even though they are same).
That means it will NOT copy the billing address to shipping if it is not present.

To do this, you need to edit the order first and save the data to VirtueMart order table.

Thank you for your response. This feature used work fine with previous versions and I'm pretty certain there is something wrong here.

As you know, if there is no different shipping address entered, then "default (same as billing)" address is automatically selected in Virtuemart. Therefore whether it is different or not, there is always a shipping address.

Furthermore, I tried selecting address shown "shipping only" (as well as other options) and whatever I select only billing address is printed on invoices (and on delivery notes). So when we want to print a dispatch note, we need the dispatch address shown on whether it is different or same as billing address.

And like mentioned earlier, this feature did work just fine in previous versions (1.3 or 1.4).

Please can you check again? Virtuemart's standard "order list" displays these addresses as "bill to" and "ship to".

this is causing a bit of confusion at the moment, like I explained above. Delivery note (or dispatch note) should always and always show both delivery address and billing address (same or different doesnt matter). This is a common practice with all professional retailers.
