TOPIC: JoomSEF 4.4.4 and Virtuemart Pagination

JoomSEF 4.4.4 and Virtuemart Pagination 11 years, 2 months ago #41264

We are using JoomSEF 4.4.4, Virtuemart JoomSEF exteion 3.0.14, and Virtuemart 2.

When I click on a Virtuemart category it show the SEF just fine like mysite.com/category-name-1-20. However, when I click on the next page number or the arrow, it does go to the next page, but it shows the non SEF URL like mysite.com/index.php?option=com_virtuema...d=80&Itemid=942.

Please advise.

Hi,

There seems to be a problem with the pagination URL generation in VirtueMart or your VM template. The URL you posted contains the limit=int variable, which is not correct. The limit variable should be a number, not a string, that's why JoomSEF ignores the URL.
What is the exact version of VirtueMart you use?

It is 2.0.22 and unfortunately we are unable to upgrade at this point.

You should be able to get SEF URL by following these steps:
1. Open ARTIO JoomSEF -> Manage Extensions -> VirtueMart -> Variables Filtering tab
2. Find the "^[0-9]*$" rule in the list of rules and select it
3. Remove the limit variable from Assigned variables list (by moving it to the Available variables list)
4. Click the Save & Close button in the toolbar

Thanks for the reply. I'm not quite sure what corrected it, but it's working fine now before I make the changes you suggested. The only think I recall doing is changing the number of products that show on the browse page from 9 to 18.
