TOPIC: Kunena SEF problem

Kunena SEF problem 12 years, 6 months ago #30189

Not sure why im not able to post this in other than this forum, as i have purchased this JoomSEF just a couple days ago.

Anyway, i have a big problem with the kunena plugin, im note able to use Custom text for Category name 1st and 2nd part, it wont add categories to URL, does not mather if it just last one or all of them. it ends up like this: www.my.tld/forum/forum no mather what categories link i look at, all of them ends in the same place for all categories.

Using Title + "Add categories to URL" works, but it make SEF like this: www.my.tld/main-forum and i want it to look like this: www.my.tld/forum, if custom text worked together with add categories to URL it would end up like that.. (in my head atleast)

Newest Joomsef 4 and Joomla 2.5.4, and Kunena for that sake.

Can any one help me solve this?

Hi,
When you login to our website, can you see your order in the list of your orders in our E-shop: www.artio.net/e-shop/account ?

What exactly is your configuration for the Category name 1st and 2nd part? If you use only the Custom text, then all categories will be displayed as that text.
The Category name 1st and 2nd part lets you configure, how each category name will be constructed for the URL, so if you set eg.:
Category name 1st part: Custom text
Category name 2nd part: ID
Category name custom text: Forum
Then each category will be constructed as "forum-{id}".

Hi dajo!

Cant login there. I didnt sign up for a login account when i ordered the product you see. PM me if you would like download id so you can get me into the other forums..

Aha, okey, then i that custom text parts isnt something i need..

Config is:
Category Settings
Add categories to URL -> All categories
Category name 1st part -> Title
Category name 2nd part -> none

The problem is the first part, if i click on forum tab from menu, then the address is correct: www.my.tld/forum, but if i click on a topic there(or categorie for that sake), i end up like this: www.my.tld/main-forum/welcome-mat/welcome-to-kunena

Maybe rewriting needs to be done or? :S

Okey now, i guess its not that part i should look at.

Under settings common, i found these:
Add Menu Title to URL -> Yes
Custom Menu Title -> none

and changed it to:
Add Menu Title to URL -> Yes
Custom Menu Title -> forum

still no difference. (btw, yes im always deleting related SEF urls after doing a change in extension).

Attached is a printscreen from SEF URLs in JoomSEF .

As you see, those who goes to "index.php?option=com_kunena&catid=" is the problem. The others are fine..

Well the main-forum part is just the first category in the category tree. If you want to remove it, currently the only way is to set the "Add categories to URL" to "Only last one". But in that case, if you have more nested categories, only the last one will be present in the URL.
EDIT: I'll forward your problem with the forum access.
