TOPIC: The requested URL not found

The requested URL not found 13 years, 8 months ago #19323

After installing Artio SEF, I get urls properly encoded including section and categories but when click I'm getting error message:

Not Found
The requested URL /Ν-Αττικής was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.63 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.2.9 Server at www.texnikosnet.gr Port 80

I suppose that in case of /Ν-Î‘Ï„Ï„Î¹ÎºÎ®Ï there should be normal Greek characters as part of the url. In case you try to check the site, Artio SEF is disabled and sh404SEF is enabled in order to have the site running.

Thank you in advance.

What is your RewiteBase value in .htaccess? (should be RewriteBase /)
Is your site using JoomFish? If so, try disabling JfRouter.

Here is .htaccess content:

RewriteRule ^dir-name/(.+)/details/ dir-name/$1/view-details.html [l,r=301]
RewriteRule ^dir-name/(.+)/visit/ dir-name/$1/visit.html [l,r=301]
RewriteRule ^dir-name/(.+)/review/ dir-name/$1/write-review.html [l,r=301]
RewriteRule ^dir-name/(.+)/report/ dir-name/$1/report.html [l,r=301]
RewriteRule ^dir-name/(.+)/recommend/ dir-name/$1/recommend.html [l,r=301]

Can you please suggest entries related to Artio JoomSEF?

Yes, it is using JoomFish, I will try what you suggest and be back.

Re: The requested URL not found 13 years, 8 months ago #19439

There are significant improvements after following your suggestions. Now the links are valid. There are a few issues I would like you to help me with:

1. I use Mossets Tree Component with the appropriate plug-in for ARTIO installed. There is a "/component/mtree" string included in urls, how can I avoid this?

2. I want period (.) to stay as period, not translated to any other character, now it is converted into -.

3. Space is converted to "2E". I want to be converted as -.

4. Although I selected to get site name at the end of page title, I'm getting it at the start. I would like page title in the form of "<mossets tree path reverted> - <site name>".

Thank you in advance for your prompt reply.

Best Regards

Hello,

go to Manage Extensions, MTree, "Common" tab. The set "Use menu title" setting to NO.

2. I want period (.) to stay as period, not translated to any other character, now it is converted into -.

I do no think it is a good idea. Some servers can have problem with this. Anyway, if desired, remove it in the Strip characters field in JoomSEF global configuration.

3. Space is converted to "2E". I want to be converted as -.

Add " " to the same field as mentioned above.

4. Although I selected to get site name at the end of page title, I'm getting it at the start. I would like page title in the form of "<mossets tree path reverted> - <site name>".

Maybe the title generated by Mtree is overridden by the Mtree component self. Is the ordering correct (site name as last) on the other component pages.
