TOPIC: Set SEF exception for Cron Job

Set SEF exception for Cron Job 13 years, 5 months ago #22252

Artio Team,

I need help setting the cron job for my jomsocial community component so that it isn't SEF. It keeps redirecting to a SEF 404 page and running the cron job as intended.

This requires immediate assistance. Please tell me how to add a non-sef URL exception for the jomsocial community component cron job:

www.dadexchange.com/index.php?option=com...munity&task=cron

Thanks,

Joe

Solved:

Here's what I did to solve the problem. First, the SEF URL wasn't displayed in the 'Manage SEF URL' section, so I had to make it.

Check the settings in the image:

Basically, set the SEF URL to what your cron job is being redirected or forced to. Then add:

index.php?option=com_community&task=cron for the old non-SEF URL

Below, make sure SEF is not enabled. Then save and you should be good to go.

This should have been obvious, but it wasn't.
