TOPIC: random 500 Internal Server Error with JoomSEF on

random 500 Internal Server Error with JoomSEF on 13 years, 5 months ago #21187

Hi,

I'm getting random 500 Internal Server Error when JoomSEF is turned on.

For example, the following link produces the error:
www.youraustralia.com/australian-capital-territory
www.youraustralia.com/northern-territory

While other links works without any issue:
www.youraustralia.com/new-south-wales
www.youraustralia.com/queensland

The strange thing is, those links in this example all have exact same menu structure.
Mosets tree component is used to show the deeper level of its links, however the examples above simply links to a Joomla article component.

I appreciate any advise.

Thank you.

Hello,

I would say there must be some kind of conflict with the site configuration. Maybe some custom redirect? Or conflict with a physically existing file / directory?

Maybe you could try customizing the SEF URL to see if it helps.
E.g. by changing
www.youraustralia.com/australian-capital-territory
to
www.youraustralia.com/australian-capital-territory-test

Hi,

After further investigation, a proper solution was still not found for this issue.

I have tried customizing the SEF URL as suggested by jan but that didn't do the trick.
Even after removing all the SEF urls including custom SEF and 301 redirects, the issue was not resolved (cache was cleared too when tested).

The page loads fine when I change the Artio's content extension setting to use JoomSEF basic rewrite or Joomla Core, however the url does not output as desired (JoomSEF basic rewrite adds article/articleid at the end)

Does anybody have any idea what could be causing the issue?

The website is running latest Artio for Joomla 1.5

Hello,

no more ideas. It is a bit suspicions that both the non-functional links contain the "terrotory" word. But maybe that is just a coincidence. Do you have any more non-functional links?

We could try to help you resolve by debugging the problem within our paid support offer.
