TOPIC: Notice: Undefined property: SEFConfig::$cacheFlock

Notice: Undefined property: SEFConfig::$cacheFlock 15 years, 5 months ago #7098

I have just purchased a complete fresh install of 3.3

I had 3.21 paid version previously and completed uninstalled it before installing 3.3

I get very nasty errors on my website

Notice: Undefined property: SEFConfig::$cacheFlock in /home/httpd/vhosts/XXXXX.com/httpdocs/components/com_sef/sef.cache.php on line 182

Notice: Undefined property: SEFConfig::$cacheFlock in /home/httpd/vhosts/XXXXX.com/httpdocs/components/com_sef/sef.cache.php on line 189

Notice: Undefined property: SEFConfig::$cacheFlock in /home/httpd/vhosts/XXXXX.com/httpdocs/components/com_sef/sef.cache.php on line 201

Error: headers already sent in sef.cache.php on line 182.
Stopped at line 731 in joomsef.php

If I turn the cache off, it will function, but that causes other problems. I want to run with cache on.

Hello,

try to delete file /components/com_sef/cache/cache.php.
That should help.
Check the filesystem locking settings in JoomSEF.

I deleted the cache.php file and it made absolutely no difference.

The standard file locking is set to YES

Any other suggestions would be most appreciated.

Sorry,

maybe I was too fast in my previous reply.

By analysing this closer, it seems like the some file(s) from the old version was not overwritten.
Please, check the status of file /administrator/components/com_sef/classes/config.php. On line 110, there should be cacheFlock defined.
If it is not, then problably there is incorrect file (old version).

I deleted that file.

If I gave your superadmin right and passwords would you be willing to go take a look at my problem? Maybe place the correct config.php into my system?

I am also not able to backup and restore my custom re-directs. It backs up fine, but it will not restore anything, just gives me a screen of errors. This is causing me a lot of grief every time and re-install Artio because of all the manual re-entry.

Hello,

if you have the 3.3.0 installation package, just unpack it and locate the cache.php file within and place it instead of the file you have deleted.

We could check this on your site for you, as well as backuping problem, but for that, you would have to purchase some support time.
