We use the latest Joomla 1.5.15 and JoomSEF 3.5.0.

When SEF is enabled, JoomSEF generates SEF URLs for mod_archive that are completely out of scope. For all months (Jan->Dec) creates the same link, which corresponds to a published Joomla section. As a result, no access to the archive is possible.

Furthermore, JoomSEF creates numerous Custom URLs by itself, without any user intervention.

Can you help with either of the above, with mod_archive being a priority?

Hello,
we will test the archive in the latest Joomla and with mod_archive.
Meanwhile, I would suggest you to to configure JoomSEF not to parse those links by ether using different SEF handler (either Joomla default or do not sef) or creating a "stop" filter for the URLs.

Secondly, JoomSEF does not create custom URLs by self. URL can be marked as Custom only by direct action of user. Could you maybe give examples of those links you have in mind?

JoomSEF is configured for the entire site, hence it is not feasible to use another SEF solution, even temporarily.

How can we filter out mod_archive, as you suggest?

Some of the custom auto-created URLs:

index.php?option=com_content&id=85&lang=el&layout=blog&view=category&Itemid=525
index.php?option=com_content&catid=86&id=15908&lang=el&view=article&Itemid=533

They keep on appearing!!
