TOPIC: Missing 'components' tab in configuration menu

Missing 'components' tab in configuration menu 14 years, 8 months ago #10742

I am running:

Joomla 1.5.15
Hotproperty Plugin 1.0 5b
Joomsef 3.5.5
Joomfish

for JoomSEF component, it is:
Download ID: bb932e9ec523db78e64bb2dd277f3ab8

for Mosets Hot Property extension:
Download ID: ed055b728bfc9496a541adadab9d3dd2

I have installed Joomsef 3.5.5 as a free download, I then bought the addon and re-downloaded it and installed it over the 'free' version, as it was the same version so in the admin it said I should re-install as there is no upgrade.

In the old settings, the HotPropery extension was not working properly, so I went into the "components" tab when in the configuration area of Joomsef and was experimenting with the options of 'skip', 'no cache' and 'default handler'.

Now that I have the paid version of Joomsef, I also got the hotproperty plugin so that I can get that working properly. I have installed the plugin and went immediately to the home page to see if changes had taken place. Now there is a big problem, the properties I have listed no longer 'open' into the full page, each time I click a property, it just reloads the page. I see the URL does not seem to be using sef urls as they are displayed like this: www.xxxxxxxx.com/villas?view=properties&id=27&lang=en

I think it might be because its possible I still have the incorrect setting for the component in the configuration of JoomSef, but now when I go into the config area, there is no 'components' tab anymore!

I have attached an image of the screen I have.

Is the component configuration area located elsewhere now?
Any idea why the properties do not open?

Thanks for the help!

OK, I found that on the Extensions management screen I can see the HotProperty JoomSEF extension, and when I click it, I am able to edit properties and can see the option to have no SEF urls, Joomla sef urls or Joomsef urls for the handling.

I would like to let Joomsef handle the urls, as this is why I bought the extension, but when I choose this option, all the properties have exactly the same url.

The only option that actually allows hot property to work properly is when I disable the SEF urls altogether. Since I just bought the hotproperty extension for Joomsef I would like to get this working properly.

Does anyone know why all the properties would have the same SEF url? How could I fix this? I have purged the urls, and cleared the cash which does not seem to help

Is there any documentation on the HotProperty JoomSEF extension available?

Thanks

Hello,

I am not sure, bur I think this may be related to the version of the Hot Property component you use, as according to its versioning it seems to be beta, right? I guess we have not tested it with this version yet - so it is possible there have been some changes / adjustments.

We will test it with this version, but it may take us a while.

Could you meanwhile put here examples of the links that do not work? (2-3 pcs.) Always both their SEF and non-SEF appearance. Thanks.

I have the same problem. I payed for the extention for hot property and for joomsef aswell. But this extention just makes the type categories into: /types, and properties in /properties, not search engine friendly at all. It doesnt even show the name of the property itself.

My only goal with this extention was to remove the ID from the existing url's.

Maybe this extention only works with the first version of hotproperty, but the new version has been around for a while now. You can't sell this if it doesnt work with the latest version, or you should at least make a user guide and and remarks on which version the extentions have been tested.

So hopefully you are able to update this extention.

Found the same problem: this plugin does not work with HP 1.0 and this is just not good enough, we are paying for a plugin that was coded for a very old version of hot property.
No mention was made of this before buying so I will be asking for my money back.

Hello,

I'm sorry it took us so long. We're already working on the new version of Hot Property extension.

Best regards,
