I did some advanced testing on this.
Joomla - considering its default install and configuration - displays on the homepage only the global metadata by default. The article metadata are used only when seeing the article details.

So - as on your site, the metadata of the last shown article are used (at least it seems so) - it appears, that you are using some add-on or extra functionality to generate the metadata for the homepage (or you do not use com_content for the homepage). Then, the behaviour of such add-on should be adapted not to use the metadata of the last generated article, but the newest one.

If you let us know what you are using or how your site is configured, we might check it closer.

there is nothing extra installed. we installed j1.0.15 , moved news items , populated each meta for news and installed ARTIOsef, no tricks not addons , no plugins NOTHING.

Btw. one of the reasons why I asked you to read and follow forum rules, you were asking about. ;-) Point 3 in this case: Always state your Joomla version, JoomSEF version and if the question regards a JoomSEF extension then also extension version.

Well, I will test this with Joomla 1.0.x also.

ok, I have tested this now with Joomla 1.0.x and yes, you are right.
In Joomla 1.0.x it works like this - the metadata on the homepage are taken from the last article shown.

However, it works in the same way with/without SEO URLs, so JoomSEF has no influence on this. You can only override the metadata generated by entering them explicitelly for the homepage and changing them everytime you update the main (first) article. Then, the meta data entered into JoomSEF will override the ones generated by default by Joomla.

Probably, this default behaviour is a bug in Joomla (as it has no logics). Fixing this -- so that the data of the first article generated are not overriden by the following articles, would require a custom Joomla core hack.
We could program the hack for you, but it would have to be a paid support case.
