TOPIC: Menu corrupted after Server Migration

Menu corrupted after Server Migration 13 years, 9 months ago #19722

Hi there,

during this week my hoster has updated my server to a newest machine (AMD Quad Core) and since this time, my sites menu is corrupted once in a while.

Mostly it is working fine but sometimes, all menu links are changed into something like this:

index.php/heilung/templates/yoo_phoenixNEW/css/templates/yoo_phoenixNEW/warp/js/ursachen/sonderseite/ursachen/services/wichtige-adressen--relevanter-organisationen/artikel/templates/yoo_phoenix/css/plugins/content/extravote/extravote.css

As a result I have a lot of 404 entries in my Artio log.

The problem is, that this happens randomly and there is no way to systematically reproduce this effect.
My website is www.diabetes-kids.de

When turning off the Artio SEF, this problem disappears.

I would really appreciate, if there is anybody here, who can help me with that.

Thanks in advance and have a very nice weekend

Best regards

Michael

Hello,

I guess the server settings on this new machine are different from the old one... maybe there is some proxy or caching layer involved...

there might be hundreds of different reasons or factors that may have changed; first of all you should consult with your server administrator, what setttings are different compared to the old server; especiall with focus on mod_rewrite and Apache settings in general.

I am afraid there is not much more to say about this. However, I think this problem should be checked starting at the top level = web server, not the bottom one = Joomla. Especially, if problems occur with no clear pattern and you cannot replicated them easily.

Hi Jan,

thanks for your advise. The problem was somewhat with the Menu module. I just duplicated the main menu module and published the new one instead of the old one. Then all was working fine.

I dont know the reason, why this problem came up but is was solved as above.

Best regards

Michael
