Many friends of mine are experiencing the same problems with the same configuration (J 1.5.15 + docman 1.4 + joomsef 3.5.0/3.5.1 + docman_extension 2.0.2) on other webservers.. is there any news on this issue?

well, we were using this combination before we released own JoomDoc component - www.artio.net/products/joomla-extensions...document-management, which is continuation of DocMAN, but fully Joomla 1.5 compatible.

Before, we were also using DocMAN 1.4 and as far as I remember, the extension worked just fine.
I am afraid, that at the moment, we will not update the extension as we are primarily supporting JoomSEF and because there is not a native Joomla 1.5 version of DocMAN.

now that Docman 1.5 is out (j1.5 native), do you think you're going to support it and solve the issues experienced (not only by me, reading the forums) with the last releases of joomsef?

Since the update joomsef 3.3.6 it is not possible any more to use docman 1.5 it is possible to have a date as the extention for docman 1.5.5
