TOPIC: Joomfish & Joomsef Probs save article in frontend

Joomfish & Joomsef Probs save article in frontend 15 years, 2 months ago #8354

Dear Artio Forum,

we have problems saving an article in the JCE frontend editor with ARTIO JoomSEF activated.

Example:

Basic Language: EN
Second Language: FR

If you edit an article in the Frontend in FR language - it's saved as EN version.
That means - it overwrites the article in the Basic language instead.
So, if you save the FR version of the article in the frontend - the EN basic article is in FR,
because it's overwritten.
That means the frontend editor is not working for JoomFish languages, if your component is enabled.

If we disable it - it's working correctly.

How can we manage it, that the frontend editor is saving the article in the correct language and doesn't overwrite the basic language version?

Joomla: 1.5.14
JoomSEF: 3.3.6
JoomFish: 2.0.2
JCE: 1.5.1

Regards,

Vutura

Hello,

we have just tested this issue using JoomSEF 3.5.1 and JoomFish 2.0.3 and 2.0.4 and I haven't experienced this problem with them. Please, try upgrading your JoomSEF and JoomFish to the newest versions available.

The only problem I could find was with JoomFish itself - when default site's language in Language manager is different from EN, the article saving won't work as expected no matter if JoomSEF is enabled or not.
