TOPIC: Is there a way to exclude a specific url?

Is there a way to exclude a specific url? 15 years, 6 months ago #7110

Hi
I have purchased JoomSEF component & the JoomSEF Hot Property module and have installed it and it all works perfectly (Thanks!)

my question is, is there a way to exclude a specific url from being converted to an SEO url?

example: i have an https: link and when i link to this page (via the real https: joomla url) from a page in the site, it converts it to a SEO url and strips off the s in the https: so its no longer secure.

Any suggestions?

Thanks much!

Erika

Hello Erika,

I am afraid there is no easy possibility how to exclude 1 speicifc link.

However, certain way how to achieve that would be to let JoomSEF generate links you want to have SEO (assuming there are not new ones being generated all the time) and the disable creation of additional SEO links.
The one you do not want to be SEO could be then deleted in the URL editor / viewer.
