My order is 4247,

I have imported my custom urls from an older version of joomsef, into my new site runing on joomla 1.5.10.

I manged to import corect the custom urls, but some how joomsef makes a duplicate content for every custom url that I have just imported.

Ex: my cutome link imported looks like this:

nokia-3120-classic.html

And joomsef makes a duplicate like this:

nokia-3120-classic-2.html

If anyone knows how to fix this please tell me.

Hello,

you can get the idea of why this is happening by comparing the original non-SEO URLs of these two links.
Probably, there is some difference (might be Itemid or some other variable or the ordering of variables may be different), so that JoomSEF consider those URLs not to be the same.

You can paste the non-seo links here, so we can check them.

This is a url that I have imported:

URL: articole/comunicatii/nokia-3120-classic.html
Old URL: index.php?option=com_content&id=261&task=view


This is the new created by joomsef URL:

URL: articole/comunicatii/nokia-3120-classic-2.html
Old URL:index.php?option=com_content&catid=17&id=261&view=article


There are some diferences between the old Url's.
I want to know if there is a solution so that joomsef does'nt make another url with "2" at the end.

In the warst case I will write again the custom urls. But I have around 700.
I hope for a solution.

I am afraid there is no automated solution to migrate old Joomla 1.0 URLs to Joomla 1.5 URLs. As you can see, the new version adds variable catid, which is not available in the old version. Therefore, the easiest solution is delete the old URLs and let JoomSEF regenerate them.

If you keep the same settings as in old version, the resulting URL should be the same (at least for most components).
