TOPIC: Automatic URL creation not fully functional

Automatic URL creation not fully functional 13 years, 7 months ago #20132

Order number: 15506
Joomla version: 1.5.20
Joomfish version: 2.0.4
JoomSEF version: 3.7.6
Site: www.e-sensei.org (SEF temporarily disabled)

Dear Sir/Madam,

JoomSEF automatic URL creation does not seem to be fully functional on my bilingual English/Japanese site, which utilizes Contact Enhanced and Mosets Tree. The Japanese URLs are not being created correctly for contacts within contacts enhanced, or for the link to Mosets Tree (although links WITHIN Mosets tree are OK). Also links for account creation, and retrieving forgotten passwords and user names are not created correctly for English or Japanese.

I look forward to your response.

Kind regards

Paul

Almost a week and no reply 13 years, 7 months ago #20245

Dear Artio support,

I posted this thread almost a week ago, and there hasn't been a single reply.
I was wondering when someone from technical support will be able to get back to me?

Kind regards

Paul

Hello,

You will either need to enable the UTF-8 characters in URLs (in JoomSEf's configuration on the Advanced tab) to use the Japanese characters in URLs, or you will need to use the Alias fields in menu and Contact Enhanced with some English text to be used instead of Japanese characters in URLs.

Best regards,
