I buy and install Artio 3.2.3 but i have this PHP error when I connect to my public Joomla home page:
[client 192.168.254.1] PHP Fatal error: Cannot create references to/from string offsets nor overloaded objects in /home/webs/xxxx.com/htdocs/administrator/components/com_sef/classes/seftools.php on line 98

I have the same error when I want configure a SEF Extension in administrator.

I read the Artio documentation before install this component.

Configuration :
Server : Linux 2.6.12
Apache : 2.0.53
PHP : 4.3.11
MySQL : 4.1.16
Joomla : 1.5.9
Artio : 3.2.3

Dear Mathieu,

I believe the problem might be caused by the PHP version you are using.
The latest stable PHP4 version is now 4.4.9. As you write, you are still using 4.3.11.
In any case, if you have that possibility, I would recommend upgrading to PHP5 as PHP4 is supported by less and less applications. We also do not plan in continuing supporting PHP4 in next versions.

I installed PHP 5.1.6 to solve this problem.
But where is noted that Artio JoomSef does not work with PHP4 (not in the documentation ...) ?

actually at the moment JoomSEF DOES WORK with PHP4.

However, there is many versions of PHP4 and we cannot guarantee it works with every-one of those.
The error you experienced will be most likely some kind of bug in the PHP4 version you had installed. With other one, it would most likely work well.
