When I try to upgrade JoomSEF to the latest version I get

* Provided Download ID is not valid for the requested file: com_joomsef3.zip. Please, make sure you are using valid Download ID for this product.


I do have an ID, entered it in Joomla! under JoomSEF registration field online and I did pay for my JoomSEF and I have the right for upgrades for several more months. So why this error and how do I solve this?

Hello, I have the same problem, what happen?, also to upgrade extension comes the same error message....

What can I do?

please, send your Download ID you have filled in the registration fields + Order ID to Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist gegen Spambots geschützt! Du musst JavaScript aktivieren, damit Du sie sehen kannst. .

Well, I apparently entered an extension ID instead of the JoomSEF ID. I added the JoomSEF Download ID. Then it did work... until I got this error:


* Unable to save installation file in temp directory.



That cannot be /tmp as it has CHMOD 777 and is writable by all. So what temp directory are we talking here?

Well found out the path to tmp was wrong. Changed it, but then I got this error:
* JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths
* Unable to create destination

This seems to be security restriction of your server - the open_basedir restrict accessing files outside the specified directory.
Check with the server amdinistration for details.
