I installed ARTIO JoomSEF v2.2.7 on Joomla 1.0.11.

Everything seemed to go well. The site was up and running and I could see that the URLs were re-written to friendly formats.

I started getting a few users who were trying to access public pages (i.e. no registration or login required) and they are getting the message:

"You are not authorized to view this page. You need to log in." or something along those lines.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

My guess is that the Itemid variable is causing this. What is your configuration for "Exclude source info", "Reappend source info" and "Ignore multiple sources" options in JoomSEF?

here are my current settings. Should I change any of these?

Reappend source (itemid): No
Ignore multiple sources (itemid): Yes

Hm, your configuration should work. Try changing the Ignore multiple sources to No. Also, you should probably upgrade your Joomla to the latest 1.0.15 version.

I have tried turning off both and still get the error.

My site is www.fortheloveofport.com

If you click on one of the "Roy's Recent Tasting Notes" you can see what's happening.

Also, when you click on a link in the basic archives, you get the same issue.

Any additional thoughts?

I can see the problem. It appears only with links like:
www.fortheloveofport.com/index.php?optio...id=238&task=view
www.fortheloveofport.com/index.php?optio...id=238&task=view

It is caused by a missing Itemid variable. My guess is that it is caused by a module used on frontpage or the way links were added to the Basic Article Archive. Try using the JCE Editor to add the links to an article.
