TOPIC: VM and sef:Problem with category flypages

VM and sef:Problem with category flypages 17 years ago #3412

Hi there,

I've used your sef component with Virtuemart before, with no problems.
Now I'm trying to set up everything on another site and can'T get the category pages to be displayed correctly.

Product url is like www.domain.de/shop/category_name/product_name.html, which is fine

But the category pages (shop_browse) are like www.domain.de/virtuemart/2.html

I have tried everything, from placing a link to the component in the main menu to exchanging the product_categories module with the virtuemart module.

I have tried all combinations of item id handling and deleted existing sef urls, and i don't know what else to try.

I'm using
Joomla 1.0.13
Virtuemart 1.0.13a
Artio JoomSef 2.2.2
Virtuemart extension 1.1.3

Thanks for any helpful comment.

I use Artio 2.2.4, not sure about previous versions. But this is how I get rid of virtuemart in the url:

Go to Artio JoomSEF configuration
Near the bottom of the page is Component Configuration
Find com_virtuemart
If you want to get rid of the virtuemart bit, tick the tickbox on the right

If you would like to add your shop name to the url, then enter your shop name in the custom title box.

Hello,

maybe the only thing you need to do is to purge the URLs, that have been created before you installed the VM extension. Go to JoomSEF view/edit URL tool, filter URLs by component (choose VM) and click \"delete all filtered\". This way, you will force JoomSEF to regenerate the VM URLs.

After this, I believe, it should show correctly.
