Hello,
I have a running 3.0.2 seo and I would like to update it. I made the update of upgrade.php file. What am I supposed to do now ? If I upload the new 3.2.0 package file, it says me "Rename failed".

The update can't be downloaded from artio servers because it says me
Upgrade From ARTIO Server
Server not available.

How can I update ? If I remove 3.0.2 and install 3.2.0, all links will be lost right ?

Thank you.

Hello,

Both ways should work for the upgrade. I think the "Rename failed" is caused by some permissions set wrong on your server and the "Server not available" probably means that your web host does not support fopen wrappers to read remote files. Check the server permissions for /tmp directory and file uploads or discuss the fopen wrappers with your web host.

Yes, if you uninstall JoomSEF 3.0.2 the URLs will be deleted as well. You can manually backup the jos_redirection table and the config.sef.php file to preserve the configuration (it is named configuration.php in newer versions).

Best regards,

My host disabled remote file opening with fopen function.
I don't have access to /tmp on unix fs and /tmp of joomla has all rights. I gave a recursive 777 chmod on joomla root in a testing section (on the same host) but it doesn't work better.

I think I'll make a backup of jos_redirection and config file and update it. Just hoping it will not break everything.

Thank you :)
