Well, there are some options to prevent duplicates, Itemid is causing problems very often. Try reading the Preventing duplicates section in JoomSEF's documentation.

In 2.2.6 version of JoomSef i still have errors with pagination.......... :(
i install new version and clean cache and auto urls






when i'm on page 2 and i want to back on page 1 (first page) i have page8.html - not frontpage
