YIKES! I installed Joomsef, now entire site, every page, even admin side of the house gives me a constant FORBIDDEN 404 error!

I installed the latest JoomSEF
I have Joomla 1.0.13 installed
Needed JoomSef for Seyret Video component.
CB (newest) installed
Disabled Joomla's default SEF just prior to installing JoomSEF (maybe my prob!)

I can't get to anything admin or frontend, all I have now is myPHP(sql) and access to the whole files directory as the server is sitting right next to me!

OK, I saw that JoomSEF wrote .htaccess file to my root directory of my site! I deleted it and I'm back up.

yes, that is right - JoomSEF tries to install .htaccess automatically. However, based on your configuration, it may need to be adjusted a bit. The details are described in documentation.
