I'm getting this same problem:

I tried to update JoomSEF like you suggested using the 'Upload Package File' option but I just got this error:


* File does not exist in upgrade package: /site/sef_ext/com_docman.xml


I then thought maybe I could update docman plugin from 2.0 to 2.02 so click he 'update' button for the plugin and it said:
Cannot upgrade.
Either your JoomSEF version is up to date or its upgrade is no longer supported.

Any suggestion on what to do now to resolve this?

Installed version: 3.2.1
Upgrading to version: 3.2.11

I get the same error when upgrading from Artio Server for 3.2.0 to 3.3.0
Downloading the component and then upgrading gives the same error also.

What can I do to upgrade my version. I want to avoid the uninstall/install proces.

this was already solved in these forums several times.
You need first to upgrade to 3.2.4 (I think) and then you can upgrade to newer version.
Please try to search in forums a bit.

Ok and where can I find the files for 3.2.4?
