Hello hvar,
thanks for taking the time to test this. I do not want to take up ARTIO forum space to discuss something that is not their responsability. However, I can clarify the following :
1 - Meta tags : I have not looked into it, but I doubt it is complicated to have it translated. however, this would be a core hack I believe. Again, I have not looke into it
2 - having en, de being optional : well I started by having them mandatory, because it was simpler. Not because of the code, but mainly because it would require changing the admin interface, and I am definetely not familiar with that.
When this was working, I thought I would work to make it optional, as well as making translated titles an option as well, because in some languages (using non latin characters) it is best to have another language in URLs. And two days later, ARTIO released version 1.2.5 which had all of this. So I decided it was not worth going any further with this, as they have done a very goog job at improving the code.
As a side note, please keep in mind however, that it means that all titles and their translations should be diiferent for this to work properly, otherwise you may have URLs like
www.domain.com/joomla.html and
www.domain.com/joomla-2.html, just because the title is Joomla and it is the same in all languages.
So basically, my version is there for anyone to use it in a site, or maybe for ARTIO to include some parts if they feel like doing so. But I think my version is not clean enough, and soon they will have fixed the few glitches that may be left.
