Hello,
the SMF extension provides SEO optimized for SMF Bridge (VirtueMart) component. Without it, the URLs are translated using the default JoomSEF handler, which may not always automatically do what you might expect for more complex component as SMF or VirtueMart is. E.g. it cannot work with thread titles (in SMF) or product names (in VirtueMart).
These topics have been discussed on these forums intensivelly already, so you may wish to read some older threads on this sibject.
These components will be also regularily checked and reviewed and the eventual bugs or problems will be solved immidiatelly when reported.
