I have installed JoomSEF 3.5.5 on a working development site on WAMPServer 2.0
JoomSEF is generating the links but none of the pages are appearing, other than the site front page. I have tried a variety of settings, with results ranging from 404 “Page not found” through the custom error message to the WAMPServer Server Configuration page - with 500 Server errors thrown in when I’ve been getting particularly irate :-)
The inability to open any page other than the front one remains even when JoomSEF is uninstalled. Phpmyadmin shows that there are custom URL’s remaining.
I’ve tried several versions of .htaccess, including that in the JoomSEF manual. Joomla SEF is on, JoomSEF is on. I have uninstalled anything I think could be a problem (except JEvents), including JoomFish. I have cleared the JoomSEF cache and SEF URL’s at each test. I have not had 404SEF installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled JoomSEF, but with no change.
I am by no means expert on MySQL or PHP, so the problem probably relates to a minor setting…….. Help would be much appreciated!!
