When I install SEF I get 2 errors:

1. in the cp I get
Notice: Undefined variable: is404mode in E:\wwwroot\work\joomla\www\administrator\components\com_sef\admin.sef.php on line 161

2. In the default template that comes with Joomla in the user menu I get:
Notice: Undefined variable: title in E:\wwwroot\work\joomla\www\components\com_sef\sef_ext\com_content.php on line 46

I would recommend to turn the "notice" display to off for your site. It is a PHP configuration option. We try to prevent generation of notices by cleaning up the code, but generally it is recommended not to display notice messages for production sites.
