TOPIC: main language in tld (with JoomFISH)

main language in tld (with JoomFISH) 17 years, 3 months ago #3106

Hy everybody

I'm doing my first steps with joomla!, I'm trying to realise a multilangual website.
Therefore I use the latest version of JoomFISH.
And to rewrite the URLs I've installed ARTIO JoomSEF, which works quite well.

But one problem I can't solve:
The URLs of the website versions with the languages English and Spanish are written like:
domain.com/en and domain/es. That's fine.
But the URL for German as the main language of the project should be in the tld, that means written like domain.com or domain.com/links.html.
And not domain.com/de or domain.com/de/links.html - which the system does at the moment.

How can I do this?
Or is that not possible at all?
I think it MUST...

A second - probably easier - question:
For every page I would like to use individual titles and descriptions.
Somehow that doesn't work at the moment with ARTIO JoomSEF.
The system writes, that JoomSEF Mambot must be installed and published therefore.
Does \"JoomSEF Mambot\" mean the ARTIO JoomSEF? Or do I have to install this seperately?

I hope you understand my questions (my English is not perfect, I know) and can help me.

Thanks a lot, Casimon

Some of the problems werde caused because some menu-links had no content.
The usual German an English Links work now: e.g. domain.com/firma.html or domain.com/en/firm.html

But still there is the problem of the main language in the tld:
If I change the SEF Url (in ARTIO JoomSEF) \"de\" into blank, the system always generates a new \"de\" Url!!

So when I click on \"home\" or the German flag, I m on the Url domain.com/de.

Do I have to change the settings in ARTIO or to go deeper into the code?
Or is it just not possible?!?

Thanks for helping...
