TOPIC: Just cant get it to work getting "Not Found"

Just cant get it to work getting "Not Found" 14 years, 7 months ago #11920

Hi,

Im running:
Joomla: 1.5.16
JoomSEF: 3.6.2

Site works just fine with nosef (of course :) ) and also with the joomla core sef (no mod_rewite).

But when I enable JoomSEF all links break... so I guess there is a .htaccess problem?

I have searched the forum but just can find a solution to the problem...

Hello,

Yes, JoomSEF needs mod_rewrite to be enabled. Please, read the FAQ: www.artio.net/faqs/artio-joomsef/trouble...er-clicking-any-link

Loaded Modules
core mod_log_config mod_logio prefork http_core mod_so mod_alias mod_auth_basic mod_authn_file mod_authz_default mod_authz_groupfile mod_authz_host mod_authz_user mod_autoindex mod_cgi mod_deflate mod_dir mod_env mod_mime mod_negotiation mod_php5 mod_rewrite mod_setenvif mod_status

as you can see "mod_rewrite" is loaded... ? any other ideas?

Hello,

It is probably the .htaccess file problem. Try turning only JoomSEF off (in JoomSEF's configuration), leave the standard Joomla SEO enabled and make sure the Apache mod_rewrite option is enabled in Joomla global configuration. Does it work with this settings?

Was a problem with AllowOverride...

Here is what I did:

1) sudo a2enmod rewrite
2) sudo gedit /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default
3) Change AllowOverride None to AllowOverride All
4) Restart Apache: sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 force-reload
