TOPIC: Joomgallery + Joomfish

Hi!

I have a website with 4 languages, each language on its own domain name.
With Joomfish I translate the gallery categories, both titles and aliases.

Somehow, in other languages the titles are translated, but the aliases are those of the default language. How can I make sure the url's of the gallery categories are translated into the local languages?

Thanks for any help!

Hello,

Our Joomgallery extension does not currently support the category alias to be used in the URL, it always uses the category title. We'll add this functionality to our requested features list.

Hi David,

Do you mean the title will be used as URL? Or will the title only be used in translations?
What I would like very much is to make some galleries with a custom url, is that possible? With joomsef perhaps?

Thanks for your help!

Hello,

The category title is used in the SEF URL and it should be translated correctly in other languages. Do you have our JoomGallery extension for JoomSEF installed?

You can use the Manage SEF URLs page in JoomSEF to customize all of your SEF URLs.

Hi David,
Thanks for your help!
The titles are indeed translated, but my problem is that the urls are not translated. This means my french, spanish and german galleries use dutch URL's.
Is there anyway to fix this?

Have you tried deleting the already created URLs and clearing the JoomSEF's cache, so the URLs could be recreated?
Also make sure that "Always use language" and "Translate URLs" options are both enabled in JoomSEF's configuration on the JoomFish tab.
