TOPIC: How exclude joomla module, or subfolder (in URL)

How exclude joomla module, or subfolder (in URL) 14 years, 3 months ago #14621

Hi,

I have the next problem. I use Joomla and a SMF forum conected with Jfusion component, which includes a module called Latest activity (Post in joomla module latests posts of SMF). I have installed SMF in a subfolder called /forum. The URL translation ARTIO makes of this module isn´t correct.

Is there a way to disable Joomsef only for this module, or, only for URL´s pointing to "/forum" folder?

Thanks

Hello,

It is not possible to disable JoomSEF based on the subfolder in the URL, but you can disable JoomSEF for the whole SMF component. Open the Manage Extensions page in JoomSEF, click the SMF component there (which will open the extension parameters) and on the Common tab set Handling to "Don't SEF".

Hi, thanks for the reply

The problem is I don´t use a SMF component, I use Jfusion component, which allow double login/register both in Joomla and SMF, and a module mod_jfusion_activity, which show links to SMF topics, like this www.mydomain.com/forum/index.php?topic=xxxxx

I can disable Joomsef for Jfusion component, but not for that module

Unfortunately, this is not possible, because modules cannot be recognized by JoomSEF, because they only create URLs for components.
And what is the problem with the links you've mentioned?

Example:

Original URL: www.mydomain.com/forum/index.php?topic=xxxxx
SEF Translated: www.mydomain.com/home

All the topic links ara translated in this way

Try disabling the System - SEF plugin, maybe that will stop module URLs from being translated. Unfortunately, that can also stop some other URLs from being translated, if some component does not correctly support SEF.
If that doesn't help, the module code modification will probably be needed.
