To Karl:

Well you can leave the /blog out from JoomSEF and URL rewriting by specifing it by a rule in .htaccess.
However, if it is an exisitng directory at the server, it should be excluded already (by the rule containg -f and -d in .htaccess that do check for real existing files and directories).
However, if Wordpress uses some SEO as well, there could be some conflict unless it uses own .htaccess fike.

Ok, I am glad you managed to make it work.
Anyway, I am wondering a bit, why you put <html> tag into an existing webpage/article? And why you have the CSS styles inserted in it? <html> tag should only be used for encapsulation the whole webpage and should not be contained more than once in the page, so how can it be part of article? Also it should not directly include CSS styles, that cannot validate.

So I am guessing if you have been inserting this via article editor (using some WYSIWYG), the tag might have been stripped off by the editor self, to make the inserted code validate.

The code won't work without the html info on it. It's a drop down menu, and for some reason I can't get it to work without it. The whole code worked fine before I installed SEF though, and I typically use the no editor option so it wasn't the editor taking it off.
Either way, it's working properly now so I'm not too worried about it.
