Would appreciate some help. I did a search on the forum and couldn't find an answer yet.

Am using joomla 1.5.24 and JooomSEF Free component. I have enables SEO firendly urls in Site Settings in Joomla's Global Config.

Problem:
When you type in my url, my site shows. But when you navigate anywhere on the site (menu item or article links), the staging url shows. See http://springboard.org.au. It's ugly and now I have two issues:

1. how to change things so my base url shows (ie springboard.org.au)

2. my google links are mostly showing the staging url so do I need redirects to not lose those links?

I'd appreciate ideas and possible solutions. Thanks in advance..

Hi,

First make sure that you have "Use Apache mod_rewrite" enabled in your Joomla's Global configuration.

Then using your FTP open file configuration.php in your Joomla's root directory, find there a line starting with:
var $live_site =
and make sure that it's set to your correct website URL.

Yes, you should probably create a redirect in your .htaccess file so each link starting with your staging URL is redirected to your correct website URL.

I don't have apache (using zeus) but was able to identify that in the config file the staging url was at line 20, so I fixed that. Fingers crossed that does the trick.
