TOPIC: Artio in IIS not working

Artio in IIS not working 17 years, 11 months ago #1369

Hi,

I read all the instructions about setting IIS up for Artio to work.
The issue is that the site is hosted on a remote host and I don't have access to the root files.
I was able to create a web.config file with the text specified (changed the path to the correct folder) and uploaded to the site's root.
I still get 404 errors when I enable SEF on the global configuration. The .htaccess file has the text posted on the documentation and the rewritebase has been adjusted to point to the right folder.
I don't know what else to do to fix this issue.
Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

the IIS installation is rather complicated if you do not know IIS quite well. Certainly, you will need permissions to install ISAPI filters. The basic installation procedure is to:
  1. configure PHP to run as ISAPI module
  2. download and setup rewriting module - e.g. Helicon ISAPI_Rewrite module
  3. edit the rewrite filter configuration file to enable URL rewriting for your Joomla! installation and to match you needs (this is pretty much individual and depends on your Joomla! installation and choosen rewrite filter)

If you want JoomSEF running on IIS, you can contact support@artio.cz to help you out.
