Always redirects to Com_frontpage

Always redirects to Com_frontpage 16 years, 11 months ago #3522

Hello I have SEF working, but have a unique problem now

everytime i hit my URL : www.example.com i am taken to the com_frontpage, but not to index.php of the Joomla which is www.example.com/forntpage.html , why does it happen

any quick fix available

I'm having the same problem... com_frontpage is the 2nd menu item in my list... when i goto www.example.com it takes me to com_frontpage.. Why won't it take me to the 1st item in mainmenu??

Is your 1st menu item set as "default" item?
The order in menu is not import, what is important is which item is marked as "default" in Joomla.

how do you mark a 'default' item in joomla?? i've been using joomla for a while now and i've never seen this feature before..

Hello,

it is very easy, in menu editor, you check the menu item you want to make default and click the "make default" icon in the toolbar.
