i am getting the above error while i am trying to install Artio Component how can i solve the problem and why it is coming help me to solve this as u said i have checked file permissiovs all are in writable mode and getting this eeror not only for Artio Component Installation when i am trying to install to install a new component or new module i am getting the same error please help to solve this problem

There is probably some error with your server configuration or permissions. Check that you have file uploads allowed and that the ZIP library is installed. I'm sorry, but we cannot help you more with the problem not related to JoomSEF.

I get the same error when trying to install the Virtuemart component. I could install JoomSEF just fine. I have installed probably 20 extensions without any problems. Temporarily I asked my system admin to give global write permissions. I still got that error. So, I'm not convinced it's a permission problem.

Can you please tell us exactly which ones need to be writable? So you have install instructions for this anywhere?

If I can't install this, obviously, I need to ask for my money back.
