TOPIC: Meta canonical artio joomself variable?

Meta canonical artio joomself variable? 11 years, 8 months ago #38277

Very good and a big hug to all,
Now I start with Joomla and I find the version I installed joomla 1.8 jomself Artio 2.3.4.
All good but I have a problem I want to create the "meta canonical".
I've gone to the template index.php
And I have been hand like this:

<link rel = "canonical" href = "www.web.es/ <? = $ _SERVER [" REQUEST_URI "]?>">

and renders me the following

<link rel="canonical" href="www.web.es/http://www.web.es/index.php?o...p;Itemid=9">

And I wonder as I get the friendly url in the template if I should show shows that when

www.web.es/Ad-legal.html

Solutions that I have as I get the variable to the template index.php?

Thanks for this community!

Hi,

I suppose you mean Joomla 1.0.8 according to your old version of JoomSEF.

Basically you need to remove the domain part from the URL so you are left with the "index.php?option=..." and call the sefRelToAbs method on that URL to convert it to SEF.

If you're interested, we can implement this for you as a paid service, see www.artio.net/e-shop/support-services/joomla-related-support-1h
