This would be very complicated as each component would need to have its own logic implemented. For simple cases (for example missing catid) we try to solve it in our extensions, but we can't just take the menu item link for given Itemid. Some components don't even use correct Itemid for their links.
There are always problems with wrong Itemids being used on many websites, which I'm afraid would cause with this feature much more trouble than solved problems.

If you have different URLs for articles created, use the URL Source Tracing option in JoomSEF's Advanced Configuration to find out where those URLs are generated, so you can prevent them from being created in the first place.
