I am getting repeated problems on several of my sites running ARTIO SEF and Joomla 2.5.
In the Joomla control panel it says there is an update. When I go to the update page I see the update is for ARTIO SEF but in some cases it shows twice. If I use the Joomla update then I get a blank screen. But then when I refresh the update has been made but the message still appears on the update page saying that I need to update.
I have noticed on other sites that If it mentions there is an update and I then update via the ARTIO SEF update page then the update is ok but then the message within Joomla remains saying there is an update, If I then try and update here I get an error message.
This I notice is not only for the main SEF component but also for any extensions such as the JomSocial extension which I have on 1 site and is up to date but is still showing that it needs updating.
It appears there are a few problems with updating on Joomla 2.5 and that is does not recognise when an update has been made.
How can I fix this to avoid further confusion and errors while updating?
