Hi,

Anyone else having a problem updating JoomSEF under Joomla 2.5.6 ?
I have JoomSEF 4.2.6 installed and working.

In Joomla Admin, Exyention Manager : Update it tells / shows me an Update is available to JoomSEF 4.2.8. If I select Upgrade I get an Error. XML error: syntax error at line 1

This occurs for 2 sites I maintain.

Any ideas ?

Thank you for your report, we'll check this and let you know.
In the meantime you can use the Upgrade page directly in JoomSEF to update it.

I worked around the problem by

1) Completely Uninstalling JoomSEF 4.2.6 from both sites

2) Downloading JoomSEF 4.2.8 and Installing it Fresh.

Looks like the problem was with the Upgrade functionality and not the Package itself.

what version of JoomSEF do you have currently installed? I've just tested the update from 4.2.7 to latest 4.2.8 on Joomla 2.5.6 and 2.5.7 and both works fine.

I have the Joomla 2.5.7 version. The problem was only with automatic update Artio Joomsef . Using manual update and downloading from my account the .zip file, I installed it fine.
