I recently wanted to check a few site for W3C validity and they came up with:

Bad value title for attribute name on element meta: Keyword title is not registered.
A metadata name listed in the HTML specification or listed in the WHATWG wiki. You can register metadata names on the WHATWG wiki yourself.

I thought it may have been a Joomla3 issue but I turned off Joomsef and it validated. (vieweb.com.au)

I investigated the problem and found out that there's a MetaTitle option in Joomla's configuration file that was used in older versions of Joomla, but is not used by Joomla anymore. However, JoomSEF is still using it. As the option is enabled by default, JoomSEF generates the meta title, which is not valid.

We'll fix the problem in next version of JoomSEF. Current solution for you is to manually edit the configuration.php file of your Joomla, find the following line:

We have fixed the problem in our development build, but there hasn't been a new version of JoomSEF released yet.
The new version should be released next week.
