I have a last version of joomla 1.5 (1.5.25), the last version of virtuemart, and the last version of joomsef 3.8.3 ( payed version) with the relative artio plugin.


I have a question for you:
When I move, a product of virtuemart to other category, is normal that the url remains the same?

For example:
- product called "red-bag" , located in the category called "bags" have this url: www.mysite.com/bags/red-bag.html

- if I move, the product "red-bag", to other category , called "special bags",
is normal that the url remains the same: www.mysite.com/bags/red-bag.html ?

Why the link is not transformed to www.mysite.com/special-bags/red-bag.html ?

Hi,

Check that you have "Ignore multiple categories" option disabled in VirtueMart extension for JoomSEF (using Manage Extensions page in JoomSEF).
But it also depends on the real URL that's coming from VirtueMart. If it doesn't contain the category ID and JoomSEF searches for it, it's possible that it's not updated correctly. In that case you will need to manually delete old SEF URL and clear caches, so JoomSEF can recreate SEF URL with new category.

I A last question: I have many many duplicate urls, that have appeared after the upgrade of plugin to the version 2.0.36:

for example:
450 bags/red-bag.html index.php?option=com_virtuemart&category_id=170&flypage=flypage.tpl&page=shop.product_details&product_id=3329&Itemid=70
0 bags/red-bag.html index.php?option=com_virtuemart&category_id=170&flypage=flypage.tpl&manufacturer_id=2&page=shop.product_details&product_id=3329&Itemid=70

How I can stop the creation of the urls that have in the url the manufactured_id? There is a code of a function, for disable it?

This is not possible. The category_id and manufacturer_id is always added, so there's no confusion between links with and without them, as VirtueMart sometimes uses them and sometimes doesn't.
You should just delete the URLs without it.
