TOPIC: 404 links with this code added to my links /://0

404 links with this code added to my links /://0 11 years, 11 months ago #35602

Hello Support Staff,

Can anyone help me. I have joomla 1.5.26 and the latest artio 3.9.9

I keep getting hundreds of 404 errors on good links that have this bit of code added to the end of the link " /://0 "

for example magazine/the-rigging-station/://0

should be magazine/the-rigging-station

The problem I'm having is that I'm getting hundreds of 404 on hundreds of links, is there any way to fix this.

Thank you for your time!

Hi,

So the wrong links are displayed in your JoomSEF's 404 Log? That means that probably some bot is trying to access such links.
You may enable the URL Source Tracing in JoomSEF's Configuration on the Advanced tab - that way information about URLs origin will be stored when new URL is created, so you can find out where those are coming from.

I assumed as much, just thought maybe there was a way to fix it to where it would remove the extra code at the end of the link.

Thanks!

You can't achieve this with JoomSEF, but of course you can create a custom RewriteRule in your .htaccess file to redirect URLs with /://0 to corresponding URLs without it.

For more information please see mod_rewrite documentation: httpd.apache.org/docs/current/mod/mod_rewrite.html
